Our Story

The Charles D. and Leola H. Ball Community Charity, Inc. was established in October 2015 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. It continues the philanthropic values embodied by Charles and Leola Ball.

Charles Douglas Ball (1928–2022) was a United States Marine, former Assistant Regional Director for the Boy Scouts of America, and an Eagle Scout. Leola Helen Ball (1930–2024) was a gifted violinist, organist, and stained-glass artist. Their lives were rooted in service, faith, and the arts.
